Airdrop Found myself with strange red bumps on my leg - could these be cockroach bites or something else?

Had to post about my recent experience with a roach bite - I was surprised because I didn't even know can cockroaches bite humans until it happened to me last week, the insect bite identification [milalchurch153.org] symptoms started with minor discomfort but then developed into significant swelling around the affected area, initially I thought it might be a spider bite but after researching roach bite vs bed bug differences I'm pretty sure it was from the cockroaches we've been battling in our kitchen, how the bite appeared was basically a small red bump that got increasingly swollen over 48 hours, for treating the bite I tried basic first aid like cleaning with soap and applying frozen peas to reduce the inflammation, thankfully no signs of infection developed but I'm interested to know what the typical healing time is and if anyone has more effective remedies for dealing with both the cockroach bite on skin and the underlying pest problem that's causing these incidents in the first place.
